I can't recommend these personally, since I haven't read them, but here's a quick-n-dirty list from World Cat:

Last of the pirates : a saga of everyday life on board Radio Caroline /
Author: Noakes, Bob.
Publication: Edinburgh : P. Harris Pub., 1984

Radio Caroline: the story of the first British off-shore radio station.
Author: Venmore-Rowland, John, 1918-
Publication: Lavenham (Suff.), Landmark P., 1967

Radio Caroline : the pirate years /
Author: Humphries, Ralph C.
Publication: Usk : Oakwood Press, 2003

Can't vouch for easy these will be to find.

Hey, is this for a Hot Fuzz fic?

Thank you!

Nope, just personal curiosity. Poor Caroline sank in...the Eighties, I think.

I remember listening when I was living there. That would have been early 80's.

I don't know if I got to hear her or not -- I wouldn't have known what it was at the time. I remember Capitol Radio.

I think the only pirate radio you can get in this part of the US is from Mexico.

One of my silly British pop magazines just had a small article about pirrrrate radio. I'll see if I can fish it out of the pile for you.

Thank you, ma'am.

Hrmf. It was actually just a couple of paragraphs in this article about The Who Sell Out:

I could tear out the article and mail it to you if ya want. I'm just gonna recycle the magazine. Best part is the photo of the Radio London boat, which looks like it's gonna sink any minute.

The Radio Caroline Website has some nice history info on it...and some pics of the boat and crew.

(yep, they're landlocked in Maidstone, but they still broadcast)...

Oh, ROCK! Thank you! Also, icon love.

(Well, you really only need one good sinking...)
